Accenture leads the companies using more H1B visas in Illinois!

  • Link Copied

Facilitating the foreigners to work on various ‘Specialty Jobs’, H1B remains one of the most used option by immigrants to work in the United States of America. This facility from the immigration department is mainly intended to bridge any gap on the need of any ‘highly specialized occupations’. And it also addresses the issues of companies which otherwise might run out of talent force.

Every year thousands of applicants apply for H1B work and H1B Transfer applications and almost every leading company around the world would utilize this feature to bring foreign talents to their organization. According to stats, nearly 65,000 visas are allocated for undergraduate students and 20,000 visas are allocated for graduate degree holders to use H1B work permit and get employed in the United States. Interestingly, recent findings revealed that one of the leading technology companies, Accenture uses the most number of worker visas to employ immigrant talents in their organization.

Like most other companies that is desperate of finding talents, Accenture is determined and trying full-fledgy to meet the workforce requirements mainly in information technology. When approached about this strategy, the Morningstar’s Analyst, Andrew Lange said that “It helps the companies get the skilled workforce they need and eases their shift to advanced and latest mobile, digital platform, cloud and other rapidly trending technologies, and there's a lack of those types of employees in the U.S. Accenture is the intermediary helping people transfer over to these new technologies."

Why Accenture drives towards it?

Ultimately, H1B working visas provides these companies a comprehensive option to find the required services at low costs. And not just the visa workers it hired but also it has a huge pool of inexpensive employees outside the United States. Josh Olson, an analyst at Edward Jones in Des Peres, Mo. Said that two-thirds of Accenture's workforce is in such low-cost labor markets as India and the Philippines. "They're very good managers of costs," he added.

Across the country, Accenture was the 5th-largest petitioner who applied new visas with immigration in 2014. And there is no much change in the face of this in the year 2015. Though Accenture did not reveal how many of the visa workers exactly are registered through its Illinois-based limited liability partnership actually work across the state, with 5,500 of its 48,000 American employees located across Chicago makes it a significant portion. The priority given by Accenture for H1B immigrant talents also triggered the urge of H1B workers at other organizations to apply for an H1B transfer.
