Puppet Training and Certification

The Puppet has become the de facto industry standard for IT automation. More than 3.5 million Puppet Software downloads in the past year and thousand of customers are using Puppet to configure and manage their infrastructure, including NYSE, Cisco and Zynga, the demand for sys admins with Puppet skills continues to grow. The Puppet Certification Training is designed to validate and recognize IT professionals who have the technical capabilities and real-world experience needed to manage their infrastructure proactively throughout the life cycle, from provisioning and configuration to patch management and compliance, using Puppet IT automation software.

The puppet provides rich data sets not only on infrastructure configuration, but also any changes to that infrastructure, whether under direct control of Puppet or not. The person has more visibility into the changes occurring in the infrastructure over time and their impact to service levels.

The format is multiple choice, computer-based exams that are taken in a proctored environment. Questions will be based on the use of Puppet, but Puppet is not available during the testing.

If you don’t pass the exam, you may have to retake the exam in accordance with retake conditions. And fees will be charged as per the updated course. And the maximum number of attempts are three which are permitted for each candidate.

The exam will test the knowledge of Puppet Open Source Software and Puppet Enterprise, however many of the Puppet Enterprise mention certain questions which are applicable to Puppet Open Source.
