There are mixed opinions about the need for certification. Some people lay a lot of stress on certification as it helps the people to stand out in the crowd. It gives a candidate an extra advantage over his peers. However certification is not a mandatory thing and candidates can apply for any job that requires a SAP HCM professional once he has all the required educational qualifications.


Soft Skill


As long as we are working with individuals who are humans in a human set up it is important that we learn to conform to certain qualities and skill set that is very essential. As a SAP HR consultant you should be an able communicator with all the qualities required for team playing. Besides this you should have a good understanding of business needs and business process knowledge. Ability to create quality documentation and the ability to read well between the lines are other qualities which is very much required in the domain of SAP HCM.


Before you embark on your journey of becoming a SAP HCM professional, it is important that you realize that there is no shortcut to success. You need to start at the bottom and gradually scale the heights. Make sure your fundamentals are strong which would act as your base for a more fulfilling career. There are some people who often exaggerate details in their CV to make an impression in the interview.
