As the smartphone market booms brighter than ever, there’s been quite a lot of rumors trading on the upcoming iPhone 7. Being crowned as the king of smartphones for many years, apple never ceased to set new standards and trend while launching every iPhone model. Yes, the iPhone 7 smartphone which is expected to launch this September carries a large amount of buzz on its future. From dual camera lens to waterproofing, talks about the new features in iPhone 7 could leave you with nothing but confusion. Here are some of the rumors that are feasible and worth expecting for,

Li-Fi Technology

Just imagine a technology that would let you user internet 100 times faster than the Wi-Fi! That’s what Li-Fi is all about. Rumors suggest that Li-fi technology could be seen in the iPhone 7, yet again making a benchmark in the smartphone industry.

Is that feasible?

  • AppleInsider had recently revealed that the code in the iOS 9.1 operating system does contain footprints of “LiFiCapability” alongside other capability declarations. This is a reliable evidence to believe that Apple is experimenting with it for inclusion in future iPhone models.
  • Lighting fast charging port, another feature expected to be stuffed in iPhone 7 is based on the Li-Fi technology.

Lightning port

Though there are speculations denying the rumor, still there is a significant possibility that the Apple could include a lighting port connector for charging and audio. The ultimate motto was to make the smartphone much thinner by ditching the 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Is that feasible?

  • It is not new for apple to create new trends and force others in the industry to follow. Slimmer smartphones being an evergreen attraction, apple could incorporate lighting port to get rid of the 3.5mm jack.
  • However, rumors are making rounds that the most-awaited smartphone could be shipped with an adapter to bridge lightning port and existing iPhone ear pods.

At any cost, the user still gets to enjoy much improved audio quality which these lightning port can facilitate.

Wireless Charging

Yes, I’m telling you this with my fingers crossed! Though it’s not first for the smartphone (Samsung S7 Edge already contain this feature), wireless charging is the next gen technology and most-wanted in iPhone 7.

Is that feasible?

  • Considering the fact that Apple Watches already have this facility, wireless charging is no big deal for Apple to explore.
  • The aluminum body of iPhone is not friendly enough for wireless charging. Which is why Apple couldn’t implement in the iPhone 6s. Recently, Qualcomm found a way to break this obstacle.
  • One more reason to expect this feature is that if Apple ditches 3.5mm headphone jack, then the user are pulled away from listening to audio while charging. Rather than forcing them to use any Bluetooth or NFC connectivity, Apple must find a way to make this little easier.

OLED Displays

When it comes to displays, Apple definitely got to improvise its package. As the smartphones with 4K displays with high ppi already making rounds in the market, Apple cannot play with its 400 ppi 1080p displays vested in iPhone 6s. In addition to improvised ppi and resolution, there are brighter chances to expect OLED displays with the iPhone 7 smartphone.

Is that feasible?

  • It’s definitely feasible to witness OLEDs in iPhone 7. Many reliable sources revealed that Samsung is making exclusive OLED displays for apple.
  • Though a completely curved OLED is not that feasible, it is not a big deal to have OLEDs with the curved edges.

Ultrasound Biometric Sensor

Sounds new? Can you imagine iPhone without that home screen button? Picture it, because Apple could ditch that button to elongate screen and use Ultrasound Biometric Sensor  to unlock the phone from anywhere on the screen.

Is that feasible?

  • Ultrasound Biometric Sensor is already a fail-safe technology used in various high-tech equipment. The iPhone being a benchmark smartphone product, there are brighter chances for tethering with this technology.
  • A sensor beneath the gorilla glass display can scan the fingerprints of the user and enable a virtual home screen button thereafter.

Experiencing awesomeness is ever promised feature in iPhone. Even if the Li-Fi internet is too much to expect in iPhone 7, we can bet it would be made possible in the future iPhones.
