All you need to do is point your smartphone camera on the question. As mobile application platforms gained enormous significance over the years, an ultimate artificial intelligence is built within this app which enables it to solve the complex mathematical question or to answer any question related to Science, History, Economics and English.

The app is programmed to use artificial intelligence to determine the type information needed and responds with ‘explainers’ and videos to give you step-by-step help. It is more like ‘digital tutor in your pocket,’ generating answers from a community of teachers and students. Ranging from solving mathematical problems and finding answers to various questions in science, history, English, economics. The developers of this revolutionary app claim that the algorithm is trained on millions of questions which makes it smart enough to identify the relevant concepts.

Not just an answering machine!

It doesn’t just do your homework or answers the questions but it explains how it’s done with clear steps. ‘Socratic’s AI combines cutting-edge computer vision technologies, which read questions from images, with machine learning classifiers built using millions of sample homework questions, to accurately predict which concepts will help you solve your question,’ the firm explains. The app focuses on maintaining ‘jargon-free’ content to make it easier for students to understand what’s going on. It also shows color-coded instructions and graphs to help get the information across, along with videos from Khan Academy, Crash Course, and other sources. And, math is just the latest in its many capabilities.

With the help of this app, the students can also raise queries on other areas simply by taking a picture of something like ‘what is mitosis’ or ‘explain how a transgenic plant differs from a hybrid plant’ to pull up an explanation or definition. According to the developers of Socratic, the app can help students with questions on 23 different subjects which include Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry, Physics, Calculus, Psychology, English grammar, and History. And, the developer team has big plans for the future. They have plans to expand across futuristic subjects ranging from robotics to music theories.

Currently, this app is available for free as an iOS application in AppStore and soon could be found in other smartphone platforms.
