Overview of Oracle Essbase

      Architecture of Essbase

      The architecture of Essbase is comprised of three tiers. They are Client Tier, Database Tier and Middle Tier.

      Client Tier

      This tier contains interactive applications like Essbase Smart View and Essbase Administration Console installed at the client end.

      Database Tier

      This tier in Essbase architecture provides Essbase Server to store all the Essbase databases. The tier also contains relational databases that are supporting Essbase environment.

      Middle Tier

      It bridges communication and data transfer between the above two tier, Database Tier and Client Tier.
