QA - 2

Early SDLC validation

Although software development and testing teams work separately as independent teams, most often they overlap testing activities that wastes time and resources. This usually happens in the early stages of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) when both the teams are setting up the base for quality software development and assurance in later stages. Early SDLC validation through predictive performance modelling and risk based QA can help reduce this overlapping of efforts. It will also lead to better quality control without incurring higher costs.

Domain based QA testing

Core business platform based quality assurance has bene happening since early 2015. It not only improves the overall software testing output but also helps create superior frameworks that can be used for other testing domains as well. Moreover, testers do get an opportunity to sharpen their skills in a specific domain where the organization is going to focus in the near future.

Deploying QA testing for peak hour traffic management

Most software tools and web applications fail or develop bugs when they are pushed to their full capacity. Peak hour traffic can cause any mobile or web application to crack under pressure. Software testing practices need to be optimized to give emphasis on how applications will work when they are bombarded with requests for prolonged duration. This will require developing specific testing strategies for ecommerce applications as well as mobile applications.

Software testers much delve into ERP testing

Business houses are rapidly scaling their businesses to new heights. To stay abreast with changing times QA professionals must equip themselves with quality assurance training in ERP testing. Special skillsets and training is necessary to think alternatives for quality assurance in ERP domain. Testers will have to develop their skills to formulate methodologies that will aid smooth roll outs and updates of ERO solutions.

Python will continue exponentially

Python, the simple yet powerful and easy to learn programming language will continue to dominate the software development industry. As the software testing industry is gradually shifting towards automated software testing, new entrants to the industry will find it easy and even necessary to get acquainted with Python programming.

Mobile app testing will become a mainstream testing profession

In 2015, we saw continuous revamps in the app approval processes of all major stores. As the same can be expected in the future too, mobile app testing as a domain expertise is something we cannot a blind eye to. A structured and logical framework for mobile app testing will come into place in the coming days of 2016.

QA professionals have quite a lot to deal with in 2016. Quality assurance training and quality assurance certifications will become necessary to gain a strong foothold in an industry that is all set to surge with massive changes. And, there will be an increased need to run more number of tests for APIs, functions, security, etc. to establish the veracity of an app or software before it is launched.

Test management tools that help multiple software testing projects using a single interface will become commonplace. They will make software testing a collaborating effort of the software testing team and help in increasing test coverage using both manual and automated test scenarios.
