In recent days Microsoft is gathering their technological upfront to help blind kids to learn to code using code jumper, isn’t that awesome?
What’s Code Jumper
According to Microsoft Code Jumper is the newest innovation to assist children, regardless of their level of vision, in learning computer coding and programming skills through a unique, physical system. Developed by Microsoft® and distributed by APH, this educational toy bridges the skills gap and opens up the world of coding to every student.
What it teaches:
Microsoft’s Code Jumper understands the underlying difficulty these kids go through and developed a project called Project Torino, which makes kids understand and learn sequence, iteration, variables, constants and other basics of computer programming language, not just the concepts it has also build various methodologies that eradicate the barriers and makes them solve some of the problems computationally.
Kids of lower visibility and partial sight have also participated in the coding task conducted in New College Worcester, a UK institution with blind and low vision students and Microsoft has planned to handover the Code Jumper to Kentucky-based American printing house for blind to establish the benefits additionally they have decided to make it reach globally for kids from the ages of 7 to 11. This is completely a non-profitable organization which is going to change the lives of many in the next five years.

After the consignment, Code Jumper is believed to hit the market in 2019 in countries like Australia, Canada, India, the U.K., and the U.S.
