The Cask is a producer of open-source application servers for Hadoop systems. In this evolvement, the Hadoop based software powerhouse, Cloudera declared an investment of unspecified equity with the Cask.

By partnering with Cask, Cloudera aims to club together the Cloudera Enterprise Hadoop framework and the application server framework CDAP (Cask Data Application Platform). The theme of this partnership is to boost the market growth of Hadoop applications developed by Cloudera utilizing the much better ways provided by Cask to build and deliver those Hadoop applications.

To acknowledge the partnership, Cask had already released a new version of CDAP (Cask Data Application Platform) which contains several modifications and optimizations to accommodate Cloudera Enterprise.
