Performance engineer leads efforts to optimize overall system and product performance. Here are the key responsibilities of a performance engineer:

• Analyze and review existing test matrices, parameters, and framework to recommend improvements for test efficiency and product quality
• Work with QE, Development and Product Management in defining test measurements
• Work with other members of the Performance team in driving improvements
• Identify quality gaps in software development cycles and work closely with the Product and Development teams to eliminate them

• Hands-on performance testing experience with distributed systems
• Ability to identify bottlenecks and limitation in software and hardware architectures
• Good understanding of various operating systems
• Good understanding of file systems and their architectures
• Good understanding of network and application protocols
• Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, C, Java or other languages)
• Familiarity with database technologies is a plus
