Target audience

The ideal target audience for this course seems to be Informatica Administrators with some considerable experience in using PowerCenter or maintaining Data Quality.

Prerequisites

Candidates must have completed either PowerCenter Developer 1, Data Services Level 1 Developer or Data Quality.

The first module will introduce attendees to PowerCenter 10 Architecture and give a brief idea about Informatica domain, nodes and application services.

2. Best Practices
The second module will explain the best practices in PowerCenter management that will amplify the performance of administrators.

3. Installing Informatica 10
Describes step-by-step procedure to install Informatica 10 domain and clients

4. Using the Informatica Administrator tool
Gives hands-on training on how to use the Informatica Administrator tool in various scenarios.

5. Configuring PowerCenter Application Services
a) Describes adding, configuring and managing a PowerCenter Repository Service and repository.
b) Describes adding, configuring and managing a PowerCenter Integration Service

6. Users and Groups
Describes how to add users and groups to the Informatica Platform

7. Privileges and Roles
Describes how to create a custom role and assign privileges and roles to users and groups
