- 2. What do you understand about cloud computing?
For me, cloud computing is entirely a new trend. It plays a vital role in IT development, delivery module of the business products and services. These are those services which are made available to the real-time users across the internet.
- 3. Hmm! Can you brief us about CRM?
Yes, sure! Firstly CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management. As evident from the full-form itself, that CRM is an application which makes the use of a CRM software to automate the marketing and sales functions. The primary motive behind the increasing purchase of CRM software is that it helps the client businesses to generate higher revenue and in turn maximize their profit.
- 4. Well that's enough briefing about CRM. Do you want to mention some of the CRM software in use? If yes, you may proceed ahead with it.
Sure! Some of them reckoned CRM software from top-notch CRM software providers are inclusive of SalesforceCRM, Oracle CRM, Microsoft CRM, NetSuite CRM, Oracle CRM on demand, SugarCRM, and Nimble. Sorry, currently I can recall only these names.
- 5. That's fine! According to you what are the advantages of using Cloud Computing?
Speaking from my perspective, I find Cloud Computing to be useful in power processing, internet reliability and accelerating the broadband speed. It reduces the overall cost by eliminating the need to buy multiple server licenses for numerous software applications.
- 6. I think that's enough from the cloud computing, can you please explain me about PaaS?
Sure! PaaS stands for Platform as a Service. The role of PaaS service providers is to provide access to hardware, operating system, network services and storage facilities over the cloud. Its working mechanism is simple to illustrate, if there are no services over the platform, there are no applications.
- 7. And what are SaaS and IaaS?
SaaS stands for the Software as a Service. SaaS helps with the ease of software distribution over cloud computing platform thereby minimizing the hustles as well as cost.
On the other hand, IaaS stands for Infrastructure as a Service. These are inclusive of the infrastructures provided by the cloud service providers. These services are inclusive of servers, storage facilities and hosting services.

The public cloud is accessible for global users stretched across the globe; however, the user is denied of having control over the resources.
- 9. And what are private cloud and hybrid cloud?
Private clouds are accessible only within a limited circle. Here in private clouding, the cloud service providers provide the infrastructure services to a particular organization which is not available to any other organization. Thus one can say that the private clouding is organization specific.
On the other hand, in hybrid clouding facilitates a bridge between two cloud services to exchange the data and applications from one cloud to another. Hybrid cloud is an amalgam of public, private and community clouds. API works as an interface bridging the gap between the private and public cloud.

As mentioned earlier, the Public cloud is accessible across the globe, where the global users do not have control over the resources available under this cloud computing. The Private cloud is industry specific. This is the main working difference on which the private and public clouding works.

Certainly! Salesforce is the best customer relationship management tool of the 21st century. A robust web dependent flexible as well as dominant database provider available in the market today.
- 12. Okay! Can you tell us about the different editions of Salesforce?
The editions of Salesforce are variable with the cloud types. I have worked on Sales Cloud so that I can share the editions from the same. The Salesforce provides four different kinds of editions for Salesforce Cloud. These four are inclusive of the group, professional, enterprise and unlimited.
- 13. Can you list different types of Salesforce.com objects and also elaborate on the same?
The Salesforce.com objects areavailable in two forms standard objects and custom objects. The Standard objects are born and brought up on the Salesforce.com platform whereas the users on Salesforce.com generate the custom objects.
- 14. What do you mean by profile?
Profiles motivate the users to accomplish different functions such as modifying the settings and granting permissions in Salesforce. You can call it customization where the user himself restricts the access grant to other users. There are two different types of profiles- standard and custom profile. Standard profiles are the pones which the Saleforce.com creates for its users while the custom profiles are the ones which are user-generated.
- 15. What do you mean by the term Role?
The Salesforce.com gives the liberty to managers and subordinates to make edits and view the business documents as and when they need. This editing and viewing can be accomplished via RoleHierarchy settings on the platform. The users in this hierarchy receive the permission to view, edit and report whatever business data is being shared with them.
- 16. That's quite an excellent briefing on your part. Well done! Now can you please elaborate the liberty granted by the custom object to its users?
Once the user defines his custom object, he can perform many tasks. To list a few are the creation of the customized fields, co-relating the custom objects to another record, tracking events and essential functions, the creation of a personalized tab specific for the custom objects, and analyzing custom object data. Besides these, there are many additional functionalities the custom object facilitates its users with. I can recall only these many at the moment.
- 17. Do you anything about the data loss in Salesforce?
Yes! Data loss in Salesforce can be credited to many reasons. It may happen on account of changing date or time, migrating data from one type to other types, a change from multi-select pick list to different classes. In addition to this, data loss might occur on account of alterations to multi-select picklist, a shift in auto-numbering, and switch from a text area to email, URL and phone services.

Finally, Salesforce software is meant to track about the repeated customer activities. This tracking of repeated customer activities is the driving key for every sales organization.

There are two different types of relationships provided by the Salesforce. These two are Master-detail relationships and lookup relationships.

For me, the trigger is a code. It is a code that executes itself before and after the record is updated or inserted.
- 21. All right! What do you mean by the Static resource in Salesforce?
The Static resource is a unique feature from the desk of Salesforce. It helps the subscribers to accomplish the uploading of zip files, images, JavaScript and CSS files. The subscribers can review these files while navigating through the Visualforce page. If you ask me about the optimum size of the Salesforce's static resources, it is about two hundred and fifty megabytes.
- 22. Do you know about the object relations in Salesforce?
There are three different types of object relations in Salesforce. These are one-to-many, many-to-many and master-detail. Once the user familiarises himself with the Salesforce platform, these relation types appear to be more logical than before.
- 23. What do you know about the different types of Salesforce reports?
There are primarily four different types ofSalesforce reports. These are tabular reports, matrix report, summary reports, and joined reports. The tabular reports are meant for displaying the total in tabulated form. The matrix report focuses on grouping the data into rows and columns. The summary report is the detailed versions of the tabulated reports where the data is presented in column formats. Lastly, joined reports facilitates the users to join or link two different types of reports and produce a single report.
- 24. What do you understand by audit trail?
Salesforce has a unique function named as an audit trail. It is this audit trail function which facilitates the users in gaining information. It also assists in tracking recent changes in a setup that are accomplished by the administrator within the organization. The audit trail facility is made available for preserving data up to the validity of six months.
- 25. Can you define a single difference between SOQL and SOSL?
SOQL stands for Salesforce ObjectQuery Language, while SOSL stands for Salesforce Object Search Language.
