Unit 1: Voice Overview
Traditional Voice VS Unified Voice:
You will learn about traditional telephony world, analog connectivity, a territory of digital connections and about the lessons that you need to know from public switched telephone network (PSTN). You will then learn about the realm of unified voice system, benefits of VOIP, understand the process involved in coding and decoding audio, digital signal processors (DSP), and VOIP protocols.
Understanding the pieces of Cisco Unified communications
You will learn about the components of Cisco VoIP network. You will learn about the four pieces of Cisco Unified Communications: Endpoints, call processing agents, applications, and network infrastructure devices.
Understanding the Cisco IP phone concepts and registration
In this chapter, you will learn about preparation and base configuration of LAN infrastructure to support VoIP devices. You will also learn about the Power over Ethernet (POE) voice VLANS a properly configured DHCP scope for VoIP devices, and the Network Time Protocol (NTP).
Familiarizing with CME Administration
You will familiarize with Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express administration by understanding two primary administrative interfaces command-line and the Cisco Configuration Professional (CCP) GUI. You will learn about the requirement of VoIP, Voice Infra Model, Core products in CCNA Voice, Traditional Voice, Digital Voice, VoIP Deployment Models, Protocols, Understanding VoIP Components, Phone Boot-up process, Network Readiness Assessment's NTP / DHCP / TFTP Server Readiness.
Unit 2: Cisco Unified Communications, Manager Express (CUCME)
In this chapter, you will learn about Cisco Unified Communication. You will also learn about Endpoint and End Users with CME, CME Dial-Plan, Cisco Unified CME Voice Productivity Features, VoIP Systems, Understand Dial-Peer and its Matching Process, Digit Manipulation / Class of Restriction / Audio Codec's.
Unit 3: Cisco Unified Communication Manager (CUCM) Ver 8.X
In this lesson you will learn about Administration Overview of CUCM through GUI and CLI, Administrator and End-user Interfaces, Managing End points and end-user in CUCM, Understand CUCM dial plan elements and interaction, enable Telephony features with CCUM, enable mobility features in CUCM, add Phone and Users to CUCM and add Security Features through CUCM. You will also understand Dial Plan Architecture, learn about Partitions and CSS Voice Productivity Features, and understand Voice mobility features
Unit 4: Voice Mail and Presence Solution
In this chapter, you will learn about an overview of Voice Mail Administration, Integration with CUCM and Basic Call Flow, and presence Administrative Overview. You will also understand the power, stability and wealth of features available in CUC followed by a look at the configuration of user accounts and their mail boxes.
Unit 5: Voice Network management and troubleshooting
This chapter teaches the reviews and the tools available to administrators to assist in the care and feeding of their CUCM servers. From the numerous built-in reporting tools to the power of the RTMT, the administrator is introduced to his collection of tools to monitor the health and performance of the system. You will learn about the built-in and reporting and monitoring tools for Cisco Unity Connection (CUC)
